Movie Summery:

In 1994, Shanto aspiring actor dreaming about amazing career comes to FDC to perform and get a lucky break but gets work as a background dancer. Location shooting begins and the lead male actor Raj, gets jealous of Shanto’s handsome look and wants him replaced. Feeling guilty, costume designer Julie assists Shanto in getting small roles in the industry. Shanto soon rescues Julie from local thugs thus getting the attention of the film director Rocky who gives him a minor role as a baddie.

However, Shanto’s scenes are axed in the first episode by Suchona, the heroine and the mistress of mafia topper Toofan because Shanto looks like Toofan. In one event, Toofan abducts Shanto and then uses him as an identity to fool people, and get away with criminal activities. Toofan’s mentor, Jalaluddin, rehearses with Shanto in order to teach him the way in which Toofan conducts himself. While for Toofan’s empire is under the threat of other gangsters and police led by Assistant Commissioner Akram.

Suchona later on betrays Toofan and gives Akram his location where the latter, presumably, kills the mafia kingpin. Shanto who is spared by Suchona is now a celebrity. But instead, the audiences are given a small twist regarding Toofan who is revealed to be alive in a hospital; thus, building up more conflicts in the story.

This crime-thriller is all about Bollywood’s glamour with the action and has elements of ambition, betrayal and survival woven into it.
